Oct 03, 2015 One user said it works just fine in EL Captain and another user said it does not work properly. So if you use Office 2011 does it work or not in EL Captain? I rely on Office and it MUST work, or I will remain on Yosemite until Office 2016 is released.
The current Apache OpenOffice supports Apple OS X version10.7 (Lion), 10.8 (Mountain Lion), 10.9 (Mavericks), 10.10 (Yosemite),10.11 (El Capitan) and macOS 10.12 (Sierra), 10.13 (High Sierra),10.14 (Mojave), 10.15 (Catalina).

- Oct 01, 2015 Supposedly office 2016 works with exchange 2010 and above and leaving apple support for el capitan at better than 2010. I can get outlook 2011 working with 10.11.1 on a 2010 exchange server but it still crashes every couple of hours.
The last OpenOffice version supporting Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger),10.5 (Leopard), 10.6 (Snow Leopard) is OpenOffice 4.0.1.
