• Active Internet connection (during installation)

¹ Systems and software marked with an asterisk tend to be updated frequently. Antidote 10 will stay compatible with a reasonable number of versions of these; compatibility with older versions might no longer be assured to allow for newer versions to be supported.

Oct 04, 2017  Safari 11 will come to you as an update to El Capitan 10.11.6 in the Mac App Store's Updates tab — providing that you have not disabled Automatically check for updates in System Preferences: App Store panel. Mar 31, 2020  So, I downloaded the El Capitan installer from the App Store and reinstalled. And, now, Safari works again, but it's still at version 9.10.2 and the App Store still thinks that it updated Safari to 11.1.2. So, at least I now have a working version of Safari, but it would be nice to be able to update it to the latest version. Apple Previews macOS 11.0 Big Sur - Available Fall 2020

Today at WWDC Apple previewed the next major revision to its macOS operating system, macOS 11.0 Big Sur. This version of macOS will be the first to support Apple Silicon, or ARM CPUs. macOS Big Sur also features a redesigned look and feel reminiscent of iOS, enhanced core apps, new notifications system, Dashboard-style widgets. A Developer Preview version will be available immediately for registered Apple Developers, with a Public Beta expected in July.
